The railway enters spring travel transportation, and its capacity is doubled

From March 20 to April 19, the Yangtze River Delta Railway will enter a 31-day Spring Tour. According to the spring travel plan of Shanghai Railway, the train capacity of the EMU trains in Ningbo, which involves key routes such as Hangzhou-Ningbo and Yongtai-Wenzhou, will increase to facilitate passenger travel.

According to the railway department, the transportation of excursions from Qingming to short-distance tourists is concentrated. With the warming of the weather, the spring tourist flow of the Yangtze River Delta will start gradually from late March. The spring travel passengers peak in April, and most of the passenger traffic is concentrated in Shanghai and Nanjing. Shanghai-Hangzhou, Hangzhou-Ningbo, and other high-speed railways along the tourist city and scenic stations, showing the concentration of weekend travel, early morning and evening return to compact, early and late peaks and other characteristics. At the same time, changes in the weather will have a greater impact on the flow of tourists in spring. In the event of bad weather such as rain, the willingness to travel will be curbed and the passenger flow will drop significantly.

According to the spring transport program of the railway sector, Shanghai will open 16 more high-speed trains to and from Suzhou and Wuxi. During peak passenger flow hours, Shanghai-Nanjing, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Hangzhou-Ningbo, Hangzhou-Changchun, and Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Railways will be re-connected.

It is reported that during the Ching Ming period, the high-speed rail trains for short-to-medium-distance trains are already in short supply. It is advisable for citizens who have travel plans to buy tickets early.
