The LED light bulb subsidy standard promoted by the Taiwan Energy Bureau was opened. The LED bulb support for this standard was 500,000, which was won by Yiguang and Delta.
The 500,000 LED bulbs in this standard were awarded 240,000 by Yiguang and 260,000 by Delta. Liu Bangyan, a spokesperson for Everlight Electronics, said that according to its contract plan, LED street lights and LED bulbs in the previous LED streetlights will be shipped in the first half of this year.
The previous LED street light standard was obtained by Yiguang from 5 districts of Taipei City, 1 District of New Taipei City and 2 districts of Kaohsiung City, with a total number of 55,000. Liu Bangyan said that Yiguang's LED street lamp production line has been put into production all the way, and will be installed and delivered from April according to the contract schedule. Driven by the bidding, the LED lighting performance of Yiguang in the first half of this year is expected to grow significantly compared with last year. Looking forward to the LED lighting market this year, Liu Bangyan said that he is very optimistic.
Jiang Wenxing, general manager of Delta's solid-state lighting business unit, said that the results of Taiwan's LED lighting standards in the first half of the year were not bad. In the second half of the year, some of the county and city standards will be carried out, and the company will actively fight for it. Overall, LED lighting operation performance will grow significantly this year compared to last year. Delta has also obtained a total of 4 tenders for the 2 districts of Tainan City and 2 districts of Kaohsiung City, with a total of about 43,000.
