Twin brothers admitted to university restaurant as waiter self-financing

A pair of poor twin brothers in Chengkou have passed college this year with honors. Just when the two were worried about their tuition, Tao Ranju hired them as waiters. Yesterday, 10 poor college students, including the two brothers, each received 3,200 yuan in "high salary."

The 19-year-old twin brothers Tang Yong and Tang Wei lived in Chafeng Village, Xiuzi Township, Chengkou County. His father worked outside. Only his mother and his over 80 grandfather took a job at home, and his family was very poor. Yesterday morning, Tang Yong told reporters that this year he and his younger brother graduated from Chengkou Middle School. He was admitted to the Electronic Information Department of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a score of 531, and his younger brother was 559 points and was admitted to the clinical specialty of doctors. Tang Yong Tears said that in the face of their two million yuan tuition fees, the whole family could not do anything.

Under the arrangements of the Municipal Party Committee and the City Women’s Federation, on the morning of July 11th, the brothers went to work at the “Old Chongqing” Chinese restaurant in Tao Ranju, located beside the Hong En Temple Park. Yan Qi, chairman of Tao Ranju, introduced that the eight poor students who had just joined the university were also joined by the Tang Wei brothers. Yesterday at 10:30, the 10 students received 3,000 yuan in “high salary” after working for more than 20 days. At the same time, Tao Ranju paid 200 yuan for each person’s fare to get them ready for school. A staff member in Tao Ranju said that the average waiter has a monthly salary of about 2,000 yuan.
