NEC research and development of new submarine cable technology can increase communication speed 2.5 times

It has been reported that NEC has developed a new technology that will increase the speed of communication of submarine cables connecting national and regional information and communication networks by 2.5 times. One optical fiber can carry 34.9T bits of information in one second, equivalent to the capacity of 540 million telephone lines. Since 99% of international communications are transmitted through submarine cables and can not meet the demand on the existing lines alone, the relevant countries are investing more in the current deployment of optical fiber cables in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. But even so, an estimated 10 years later can not meet the demand, it is necessary to expand the optical cable communication capacity.

Bi-directional Ball Screw

The ball screw drive is an assembly that converts rotary motion to linear motion (or vice versa).
