In the face of the increasing demand for energy, all-solid-state supercapacitors have drawn much attention as new energy storage devices, and gel electrolyte is one of the key technical materials. In order to realize the rapid charge-discharge and high stability of all-solid-state supercapacitors, it is an important scientific issue in the field to develop new gel electrolytes that have many advantages such as high ionic conductivity, excellent mechanical strength and water retention. Its core is how to build ordered ion channels in the gel electrolyte and to understand its intrinsic electrochemical mechanism.
Faced with this challenge, Wu Changzheng's group based on amphiphilic gel electrolyte PPDP (poly ([3- (methacryloylamino) propyl] dimethyl (3- thioxopropyl) The amphiphilic groups formed a unique ion channel for high performance all-solid-state supercapacitors.The synchrotron radiation soft X-ray near-end absorption spectra confirmed that amphiphilic gel electrolytes were ordered in the presence of an applied electric field and were capable of forming unique ion channels , Is conducive to the transmission of salt ions in the gel electrolyte.At the same time, each amphiphilic group can be combined with 8 water molecules to form a hydration layer, so that the electrolyte PPDP has good water retention properties.The constructed graphene-based all solid supercapacitor, At a current density of 0.8Acm-3, a specific capacity of 300.8Fcm-3 was achieved, and after the current density increased by 25 times, only 14.9% of the specific capacity was lost, reaching the highest level in the current graphene-based all solid state supercapacitors Excellent value.
This work builds an ordered ion channel, providing a new idea for designing new and efficient energy storage devices.
