From April 15th, 20th, the grading test to the successful triumph on April 18th, 2019, during the entire verification process, the vehicle has completed four downhill tests. The starting point is Kangding toll station and the end point is Tianquan service area. 88 kilometers, downhill section reached 76.6 kilometers, including the Erlangshan tunnel with a total length of 13.4 kilometers, the 30-kilometer long downhill slope from Kangding to Luding, and the 42-kilometer downhill slope from the Erlangshan tunnel to the Tianquan section.

Yakang Expressway has not been opened to the heavy truck since the whole line has been completed. The safety verification of this long-long longitudinal slope is precisely to determine whether the altitude difference is as high as 1900 meters, and the long and dense Yakang high-speed section of the downhill section meets the conditions for safe passage of heavy trucks. In the future, heavy-duty trucks will pass the Yakang Expressway to develop relevant safety standards and traffic strategies. He said, "No matter what speed is used to open the liquid, the speed can be controlled. Just dial the corresponding adjustment gear according to the situation, and do not need to step on the brakes. The burden on the body is not so big. The operation is very easy in the whole process, no need to worry about the brake pad overheating, (braking performance) decline or even failure; do not have to worry about the water is not enough.
