In the early 1990s, before the country introduced emission regulations, Guangxi Yuchai and Tianjin University began joint research on technologies to reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines, laying the foundation for Yuchai's products to fully meet the national 1 emission standard. Yuchai contributed to the successful development of the test rig. In the NVH research of the car, Yuchai and Tianjin University took the lead in carrying out sedans.
