The United States and Canada have introduced lighting standards

LEDinside recently learned that Canada will postpone the effective date of the new energy efficiency standards for light bulbs, while the United States has adopted the latest revised energy conservation standards for fluorescent lamp ballasts, which will cover multiple types of ballasts.
A few days ago, the Canadian government announced that it would delay the time limit for universal light bulbs to meet new energy efficiency standards for two years. Specifically, 75-watt and 100-watt bulbs are subject to new energy efficiency regulations from January 1, 2014, and 40- and 60-watt bulbs are required to meet the new standard from December 31, 2014.
In addition to the energy efficiency standards of the bulb itself, new international standards for energy-saving accessories related to lamps have also been introduced. In November, the US Department of Energy adopted the latest revised minimum energy conservation standard for fluorescent lamp ballasts, which will be implemented from November 14, 2014, covering a wide range of ballasts.
LEDinside analysis, although Canada has postponed the implementation date of new energy efficiency standards, the trend of global energy conservation and consumption reduction is very obvious. Relevant departments reminded that affiliated companies should take precautions, pay attention to the upgrading of products, and actively explore new markets. At the same time, we should also keep abreast of the latest standard dynamics and follow the energy efficiency standards of each exporting country.
