Jiangsu Mine Safety Monitoring Instrument Measurement Center approved for preparation

Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision officially approved the establishment of a measurement center for mine safety monitoring instruments in Jiangsu Province on the basis of the Xuzhou Institute of Metrology, and established and improved a social public measurement standard system that is compatible with the economic and social development of the province to meet the requirements of the Provincial mine safety monitoring equipment calibration verification needs.

It is understood that the center's pre-construction has invested more than 6 million yuan to complete the construction of infrastructure, laboratory transformation, the purchase of new equipment, the establishment of a catalytic combustion methane detector, light interference methane detector, mining anemometer, carbon monoxide detector , dust sampler, wind speed sensor and other verification/calibration items. The center's later construction will invest 2 million yuan for project expansion and scientific research and development.

After the center is completed, it will become the only statutory metrology technical institution in the province that can carry out calibration and calibration of mine safety monitoring instruments, fill the gaps in the mineral inspection projects of the statutory metrology institutes of Jiangsu Province, and cover more than 95% of mine safety monitoring appliance. At the same time, it will further regulate the supervision and management of mine safety monitoring instruments, and help the coal supervision and safety supervision departments carry out early warning analysis on coal mine safety production to eliminate potential hidden dangers and prevent accidents. The center will also focus on improving research and development capabilities, strive to formulate one or two local verification standards for mine safety monitoring instruments, and train one or two mineral metrology field metrology experts.
