Through the re-innovation of digestion and absorption, CNPC combined with the increasingly stringent environmental standards and the status quo of catalytic devices in China to fully construct a catalytic flue gas desulfurization and denitrification facility to meet the requirements of environmental protection standards and pollution reduction.

In 2013, with the completion of the first WGS flue gas desulfurization facility in Jinxi Petrochemical Company and the first fully domesticized WGS desulfurization technology, the successful operation of Ningxia Petrochemical Company marks that Dalian Design Branch has fully mastered the international advanced Desulfurization technology. At the same time, Dalian Design Branch actively explores the international advanced catalytic flue gas denitration technology and has in-depth exchanges and cooperation with a number of international advanced denitration technology suppliers, with the continuous strict environmental standards and the status quo of catalytic devices, pioneering and innovative, self-developed SCR, SNCR and a whole set of China's high efficiency catalytic cracking of flue gas desulphurization and denitrification complete sets of technology, the company catalytic flue gas desulphurization and denitrification facilities to provide a strong technical support.

Up to now, CNPC has formed 8 sets of different technology and different scale catalytic flue gas desulphurization and denitration process packages, obtained 6 national patents, obtained 4 technical secrets of the group company and passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of the group company.

Experts believe that CNPC's own FCC flue gas desulfurization and denitrification technology has high desulphurization and denitrification efficiency and meets the requirements of the most stringent environmental standards in China. The venturi suction process is adopted to reduce the pressure drop of flue gas desulphurization facilities without affecting the operation of the original catalytic device , Which is suitable for the reform of catalytic desulfurization system. Since 2008, Dalian Design Branch has completed the design of 26 sets of catalytic flue gas desulfurization projects and 14 sets of catalytic flue gas denitration projects. Among them, desulfurization technologies involve WGS, EDV and air tower spraying. DeNOx technologies include SCR, SNCR, ESNCR, LNB, covering the most advanced catalytic flue gas desulfurization and denitrification technology at home and abroad, has accumulated a large number of design and operation experience. After all projects are put into operation, the operation is stable and reliable. After flue gas purification, it meets the design targets to meet the requirements of national and local environmental laws and regulations and solves the urgent need for environmental protection of enterprises. It has achieved annual emission reduction of 14,000 tons of nitrogen oxides for the Group, Emission of 22,000 tons and emissions of 4,000 tons of particulate matter, laying the foundation for the goal of reducing the total amount of major pollutants during the 12th Five-Year Plan period and also providing strong technical support for overall clean development during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
