Statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam show that in the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s rubber exports were approximately 150,000 tons and US$411 million. The export volume increased by 24% year-on-year, and the export amount decreased by 23.6% year-on-year. China is still Vietnam's largest rubber export market, accounting for 57.03% of total exports, followed by Malaysia (11.07%), India (5.86%) and Taiwan Province of China (5.12%). The Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development previously forecast that Vietnam's rubber exports would reach 770,000 tons this year, but due to the increase in domestic sources, exports are expected to increase by 5.9% to a record of 882,000 tons.
