Dr. Yuxia Xia, the high-performance polymer division of Greater China at Evonik in Degussa, told reporters that the expansion will mean a significant increase in the production capacity of the Mart plant and will further consolidate Evonik’s leading position in the global polyamide 12 market. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2010. Evonik's polyamide 12 products mainly include engineering materials VESTAMID and VESTOSINT powder.
